《五月天的午後》

撐一世紀星月的輪轉
大地依然沉寂
煙雨依然灑落
漂流木蒼白的弔詞永遠是在流浪
上不了岸的潮汐總是吼聲隆隆
血脈睡在一個異色的塵緣
神經系統分佈在網路
一絲念想牽動一漣漪
喊眠成了迷人的冷笑話
而意識藏在陰影的背後
醞育一個不可能的可能
羞於寫出最深沉不露的思語
看雲腳不經意地在虹橋上躑躅
輕輕綠蔭一個五月天的午後

In the Late Afternoon on a May Day
《五月天的午後》

撐一世紀星月的輪轉
Supporting and sustaining the circulating the moon and stars for the century of continuing rotation
大地依然沉寂
The great earth is still in silence and calmness
煙雨依然灑落
The smoke and rains are still spreading and falling
漂流木蒼白的弔詞永遠是在流浪
The drifting logs with the pale white eulogy on are always shedding tears
上不了岸的潮汐總是吼聲隆隆
Unable to land, the the surging and receding tides and waves are roaring rumbling
血脈睡在一個異色的塵緣
The blood veins are sleeping in a strange foreign relationship of red dust
神經系統分佈在網路
The nerves system is distributed amongst the network
一絲念想牽動一漣漪
A wisp of thought evokes a circle of ripple
喊眠成了迷人的冷笑話
Sleeptalk in the dream turns into a charming fascinating cold joke
而意識藏在陰影的背後
But the consciousness or awareness is hidden behind the shadow
醞育一個不可能的可能
That's brewing an impossible possibility
羞於寫出最深沉不露的思語
Being shy in writing out the deepest concealed words of thoughts
看雲腳不經意地在虹橋上躑躅
Seeing the legs of clouds hesitating their steps on the rainbow bridge unconsciously
輕輕綠蔭一個五月天的午後
Lightly shading with its greening shadow a late afternoon on a May day
